Side effects of high caffeine

 As we all know that caffeine have benefits but on the other side it have some side effects too. Some studies have indicated that sometimes when its is consumed in low to moderate amounts ,its safe for the majority of people. High quantities intake of caffeine have unfavourable and harmful side effects. Quantity at different age group varies. Now-a-days many questions arises about how much quantity of caffeine is harmful for a person? If we talk about healthy persons it should not exceed 400 mg per day. If we talk about teenagers they should limit their daily caffeine consumption to less than 100 mg per day. 


Intake of high quantity of caffeine can cause anxiety , restleness, irratability and insomnia. High quantities of caffeine can usually causes headaches, it may increase high blood pressure and your heartbeat can also increase due to intake of  high dose of caffeine. Caffeine is basically a diuretic and you may became dehydrated due to intake of high quantity . Basically caffeine itself is not harmful but it's high intake is harmful. Caffeine is present in tea, some energy drinks and coffee. Caffeine is not such a bad thing, according to some studies it is shown that drinking coffee has been linked alot of benefits recently , this include decreased risk for diabetes , depression , stroke etc.  Cup of tea has about half as much as  caffeine in the cup of coffee. Being a nutritionist the most asked question is about the intake of coffee, you don't need to cut down the coffee intake. you are safe if you are taking 4 cups per day as they are staying under about 500 milligrams per day.

Energy drinks have some terrible image for being in high in caffeine, but in reality they have only  80 mg per day , which is slightly more than a cup of tea and less than a cup of instant coffee, both of which have 100 mg. There are additional reasons, though, why you might want to stay away from energy drinks. The maximum quantity of sugar we should consume in a single day is about seven teaspoons, which is included in one 250 ml can. Choose sugar-free energy drinks whenever possible if you like them.
